A few years back, I was only 16, sweet 16. This was the age that everyone in our family acknowledges that you can legitimately date. Most of my cousins looked forward to this day that we were all going to be recognized as young adults. On my birthday, I wanted all my friends in one party without parents and my parents agreed to that as long as I had my cousins to tag along with me. That was fine; we were actually in the same circles anyway. It was a lake party. We always went here when we were younger and it was cool to have liquor now legally! Due to our outrageous hormones, we were wild as hell and drank till we could not stand. Silly games were played in the lake until one was out of sight. It was my best friend and she was actually sinking downwards when we saw her. My cousin saved her but ended up making both of them dizzy and drowning. Next thing I knew it was sunrise and they were off the shore breathless. We tried to revive them but it seemed no one knew how to do CPR. From then on I vowed to be a life saver so I had CPR recertification every two years. I never missed out CPR renewal not even when there were holidays. How? The American Academy of CPR and First Aid, Inc. offered Online CPR recertification. I always grabbed the chance to have it renewed with them because it was affordable and indefinitely useful especially for me with deep traumatic experiences.
